Sustainable Aviation Fuel from Palm Oil Waste

SAF & HVO Biofuel Innovation

About Us

Future Fuels and PT Green Feedstock Resources (GFR) design and install advanced filtration and collection systems in Indonesian and Malaysian palm oil mills for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) & hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) biodiesel feedstocks.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel Solutions

At FUTURE FUELS PTE. LTD, we specialize in converting palm oil production waste into high-quality Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Our innovative approach helps reduce carbon emissions in the aviation industry while promoting responsible waste management. By transforming agricultural byproducts into clean, renewable fuel, we support a greener future for air travel and contribute to the circular economy.

Current Situation in Most Palm Oil Mills:

Oil losses are high at various key junctures of the palm oil mills in Indonesia and Malaysia, with potential volumes of 8-10 million tons which could be used as feedstocks for biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs).

Most solid and liquid wastes are channeled to earthen ponds which release high carbon emissions through methane production (estimated at over 6% of Indonesia’s overall emissions).

Sustainable Waste Management

Our advanced technology system can remove virtually all of the waste oil and organic solids which are the main causes of emissions in the palm oil waste stream.

Our technology creates substantial additional revenues through biofuel feedstock production and carbon credits through avoided methane greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction

Return on Investment of Capital Expenditures of US$1.45-1.75 Million is 1-1.5 years.

Business Models

Future Fuels and PT GFR will pursue the following business models with the installations:

Build, Own, Operate, and Manage (BOOM):

FF/GFR will secure financing from investors in Indonesia, Singapore, or other countries to cover the installations’ Capex and Opex. FF and the mills will form a 10-year Joint Venture Agreement (KSO) with profit-sharing and offtake managed by FF/GFR.

Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT):

The palm oil company will finance the system installation and FF/GFR will serve as the technical consultant, contractor, and service provider for system installations at the mills, earning consulting fees, royalties, and broker commissions from SAF and HVO feedstock off-take.

Two Major Opportunities for Value Creation and Sustainability

ECONOMIC & SOCIAL VALUE

Production of SAF and biofuel feedstocks, organic fertilizers, biomass energy, biochar and improved water supply resources

GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION CREDITS

Removing oils and suspended organic solids from POME helps to improve waste management and deliver meaningful reductions in GHGs and generate carbon credits on the IDX Carbon Exchange
